The Spring Festival 'Holi' is celebrated by the Hindu
community residing all over the world. The festival is appealing and fun loving
that all are bent towards its vibrant and appealing colours. It has taken the
shape more of a community sport where irrespective of caste or creed, sect or
religion, folks of all ages unite in a group having the pleasure of projecting,
smearing and splashing colors on each other.
Holi is celebrated on the final Full Moon day of the Lunar
month Fhalguna-February/March on Fhalgun Purnima in the end of the winter
season. This year, it's celebrated on March 9 in Hilly region and March 10 in Terai region.
Holi is named in a variety of ways by various communities of
Nepal. There are also behind celebrating this festival themes. However,

Origin of Holi
According to Vaishnava Theology, there lived a excellent
king of demons known as Hiranyakashipu. Through his penance, he won the heart
of Lord Brahma. He had been awarded with a boon which made it nearly impossible
for him to be murdered. He had been granted with a boon that he shall not be
killed during night or day, neither by astra (weapon) nor by shastra (doctrine
or anger ), within the home or outside, neither by a man nor by a creature, not
on earth or on skies. He began demanding that individuals and gods begin
worshipping him. He began attacking the Earth and the Heaven.

Afterwards, Lord Vishnu came in the shape of Narasimha,
(who's half man and half lion); held Hiranyakashipu about the steps of the
porch of his house which was neither within the house outside, and murdered him
at the dusk,'' which was neither day nor night. Narasimha took Prahlada and
tore him along with his claws which are astra nor shastra.
In memory of Lord Krishna and Radha's love, Happy Holi is famous
for sixteen days in Vrindavan and Mathura, in which Lord Krishna grew up. This
celebration finishes on Rangpanchami. It happened once that Lord Krishna whined
his mother regarding the fair skin complexion of Radha along with the contrast
between his dark skin complexion. On doing this Krishna's mother made a
decision to apply colour to the face of Radha.
Krishna enjoyed it, when it was
done and his friends. Ever since that time, Lord Krishna, along with his
friends, popularized this festival smearing colours on Radha and the gopis. As
this episode took place during spring season, because then Holi has been
celebrated the celebrated period of love, during spring.

helps in preventing the disease and keeps the humanity safe from diseases.
The freshly harvested sheaves of wheat and gram are consumed
